Obedience: Following the commands of someone with authority, or the rules or laws of our society
Conformity: The tendency to adjust one’s thoughts, feelings or behaviour in ways that are in agreement with those of a particular individual or group, or with accepted standards about how a person should behave in certain situations (social norms)
Zimbardo: Psychologist who conducted the Stanford Prison Experiment
Miligram: Psychologist who conducted an experiment focusing on the conflict between obedience to authority and personal conscience
Status: The importance of an individuals position in the group as perceived by members of the group
Power: An individuals or groups ability to control or influence the thoughts, feelings or behaviour of another person or group
Behaviour: Any observable action made by a living person or animal
Experiment: A research method in which a researcher tests whether one variable(s) influences or causes a change to another variable(s) under strictly controlled conditions
Reward: A thing given in recognition of service, effort, or achievement.

Leader: One whom has power or a higher status over other individuals or groups
Participant: A person who takes part in something

Population: A community of animals, plants, or humans among whose members interbreeding occurs
