FACE-OFF: The dropping of the puck between one player from each team to start or resume play.
SLAP SHOT: Hitting the puck with the blade of the stick after taking a full back swing.
WRIST SHOT : The player releases the puck off their stick blade with a whip of the wrists.
DEFENSEMEN: Protect the area in front of their goalie
HIGH STICKING: Penalty given when a player’s stick contacts another player’s body above the shoulders
PASS: Pushing the puck to a teammate. Using the blade of the stick
PUCK: The main playing object; a three-inch-by-one-inch plastic disk
SELF REFEREEING: Players are responsible for their own foul Calls. Players resolve their own disputes
SPIRIT OF THE GAME: Competitive play is encouraged but never at the expense of respect between players and the basic joy of play.
LANGUAGE OF COMMUNICATION: How we talk to each other when we are competing. No bad language like cursing or yelling
OFFENSE: Always the team trying to score. Always the team with the equipment (ball, frisbee, puck)
