Energy: The ability to do work
Friction: The force that resists movement between 2 objects that are touching.
Force: A push or a pull.
Conduction: Process where energy is transferred by the movement and colliding of molecules.
Convection: Process where energy is transferred by flow and circulation.
Joule: Unit used to measure energy
Thermal energy: also known as heat energy
Work: when a force causes motion, the transfer of energy from one object to another
Nuclear energy: the energy stored in the nuclei of atoms
Electrical energy: is the energy of electrical charges
Gravitational potential energy: Potential energy that depends on the height of an object.
Law of conservation of energy: energy cannot be created or destroyed it can only be transformed from one form to another
energy transformation: when energy is changed from one form of energy to another
sound energy:energy caused by the vibrations of an object
Elastic potential energy: The energy of stretched or compressed objects.
Gravity: The force that pulls objects toward Earth's center
Radiation: Process where energy is transferred in waves or rays.
Kinetic Energy: Energy in motion. Increases with speed and mass.
Potential Energy: Stored energy or energy at rest. Increases with height and mass.
