Relation : a set of ordered pairs
Domain : the set of first coordinates or x values of the ordered pairs
Range : the set of second coordinates or y values of the ordered pairs
Function : a relation that pairs each domain with exactly 1 range
Independent Variable : the input of the function
Dependent Variable : the output of the function
Function Rule : an algebraic expression that defines a function
Function Notation : if x is the independent variable and y is the dependent then the notation for y is f x read ..f of x.. where f names the function
Y intercept : the y coordinate of the point where the graph crosses the y axis
X intercept : the x coordinate of the point where the graph crosses the x axis
Continuous Graph : graphs with connected lines or curves
Discrete Graph : graphs with only distinct points
Linear Equation : an equation that can be written in the standard form Ax By C
