Lesson 20: Prejudice, Partiality and Discrimination
bible/acts/7
12
1 Samuel 16 Verse 7: But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."
John 1 Verse 46: Nathaneal said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?"
James 2 Verses 2-4: For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothes also comes in, and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, " You sit here in a good place," while you say to the poor man, "You stand over there," or "Sit down at my feet." have you not made the distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?
1 Timothy 4 Verse 12: Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
Isaiah 53 Verse 2: For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and not beauty that we desire him.
James 2 Verses 8-9: If you really fulfill the royal law according to Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing well. But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
Genesis 1 Verse 27: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
Romans 3 Verses 22-23: For there is no distinction: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Ephesians 2 Verses 8-9: For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
John 7 Verse 24: Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.
Luke 6 Verses 43-45: For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, for each is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush. The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
1 Peter 2 Verse 23: When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.
