Voluntary Muscle: Muscle, such as a leg or arm muscle, that can be consciously controlled.
Involuntary Muscle: Muscle, such as heart muscle, that cannot be consciously controlled.
Tendon: Thick band of tissue that attaches bones to muscles.
Skeletal Muscle: a muscle that is connected to the skeleton to form part of the mechanical system that moves the limbs and other parts of the body.
examples of smooth muscle: Stomach
levers: a bar or rigid body that is capable of turning about one joint or axis and in which are two or more other points where forces are applied.pumps all your life:
2nd class lever: The load lies between the fulcrum and effort force.
example of skeletal muscle: biceps, triceps
example of cardiac muscle: heart
1st class lever: The fulcrum lies between the effort force and the load
cardiac muscle: is involuntary striated muscle that is found in the walls and histological foundation of the heart
smooth muscle:muscle tissue in which the contractile fibrils are not highly ordered, occurring in the gut and other internal organs and not under voluntary control.
this muscle moves food through digestive system:
3rd class lever: The effort force is between the fulcrum and the load
