INCLINED PLANE : Slope or slant
MOVABLE PULLEY: Effort and load go same direction
FIXED PULLEY: When effort goes down, load comes up
LEVER: a rigid bar resting on a pivot, used to help move a heavy or firmly fixed load with one end when pressure is applied to the other.
FIRST CLASS LEVERS: Fulcrum in the middle: the effort is applied on one side of the fulcrum and the resistance on the other side, for example, a crowbar or a pair of scissors.
SECOND CLASS LEVERS: Have the load between the effort and the fulcrum.
THIRD CLASS LEVER: Have the effort placed between the load and the fulcrum.
WEDGE: a piece of wood, metal, or some other material having one thick end and tapering to a thin edge, that is driven between two objects or parts of an object to secure or separate them.
WHEEL: A circular object that revolves on an axle and is fixed below a vehicle or other object to enable it to move easily over the ground.
AXLE: A rod or spindle (either fixed or rotating) passing through the center of a wheel or group of wheels.
SCREW: A short, slender, sharp-pointed metal pin with a raised helical thread running around it and a slotted head, used to join things together by being rotated so that it pierces wood or other material and is held tightly in place
