Economist : The client of a recent digital campaign that has earned a lot of awards attention.
Farringdon : The nearest tube station to 42 St Johns Square.
Periscope : Twitter has launched an Android version of its video streaming service. The app has already gained popularity from being used by the press at such occasions as the announcement of the birth of Kate & Will’s baby Charlotte. What is the name of the app?
Curiosity : It killed the cat but it drives the work we do here.
Kiss : The latest quarterly Rajar figures were released last week. Rajar is the board that records and measure how the UK listens to the radio. This includes who they listen to, when they listen and how much they listen to. Key points showed were that digital is now 39.6% of all Radio listening, 89% of UK adults listened to their favourite radio station each week, this number is down by 50,000 on Q4 of 2014 and that Nick Grimshaw Radio 1 show lost 7% of its listeners since the last quarter. But what station is London favourite breakfast show on?
Dheepan : The 68th Cannes Film Festival finished last weekend after 12 days of premieres, my invite was clearly lost in the post. The festival hosts not only the small art-house films but lets Hollywood put forward its most ambitious work. Over the years, the French town on the south coast has had its fair share of notorious stunts, some that did wonders for promoting films (Borat’s now-infamous ‘mankini’) and others leaving the Cannes audiences to boo and hiss (director Lars Von Trier's misjudged Nazi comments). However, what film won the Palme D’or this year?
Twenty : Ofcom posted its 10th edition of its Media Use & Attitudes Report this week. The report detailed how people are spending twice as much time online compared to ten years ago. It also detailed that the use of online activity with tablets has risen by just 5% to 39% in the last year. But how many hours does it claim that 16+ spend on the internet per week?
Wave : UM's annual global social media study born in 2006, which seeks to understand consumer motivations in the digital world.
Electrovelvet : Eurovision took place on Saturday with more camp and head scratching performances than ever. The BBC’s coverage saw a 5 year low of an average of 6.6m viewers, which is 2m down on last year. The UK entry, a truly awful assault on the ears, scored a pathetic 5 points (Sweden’s winner Mans Zelmerlow scored 365) but what was the name of the UK duo who failed miserably?
Meena : The lovely smiley woman on reception (Not Michael).
