Statistics : The study of the collection, analysis, interpretation, presentation, and organization of data.
Experimental Unit : The object to which a treatment or condition is independently applied.
Data : a set of values of qualitative or quantitative variables; restated, pieces of data are individual pieces of information.
Researcher : Someone who conducts research, i.e., an organized and systematic investigation into something.
Statistician : Someone who works with theoretical or applied statistics. The profession exists in both the private and public sectors. It is common to combine statistical knowledge with expertise in other subjects.
Research : Diligent and systematic inquiry or investigation into a subject in order to discover or revise facts, theories, applications, etc.
Sample : A subset of a population.
Population : A complete set of items that share at least one property in common that is the subject of a statistical analysis.
Statistic : A single measure of some attribute of a sample (e.g., its arithmetic mean value).
Variable : Logical set of attributes
