Tefnut: Daughter of Ra; Goddess of rain.
Nut: Daughter of Shu and Tefnut; Wife of Geb; Goddess of the sky.
Geb: Son of Shu and Tefnut; Husband of Nut; God of the Earth.
Osiris: Son of Geb and Nut; Husband of Isis; God of the dead.
Isis: Daughter of Geb and Nut; Wife of Osiris; Goddess of Motherhood and magic.
Set: Son of Geb and Nut; Husband of Nephthys; God of chaos.
Nephthys: Daughter of Geb and Nut; Wife of Set; Goddess of the night.
Pyramid: The tomb for the rich and powerful.
Pharaoh: The king of Egypt that was believed to be a god.
Sarcophagus: A special kind of coffin for the dead.
Obelisk: A monument in major city's that brought a little bit of Egypt into it.
Hatshepsut: A powerful queen who became one of Egypt's most successful and well known lady pharaohs.
Tutankhamun: A pharaoh of Egypt that is famous for his tomb that was discovered. The tomb was basically untouched and was full of treasure; A pharaoh that died at a young age.
Rosetta stone: A special stone that had the same inscription written both in Greek and in Egyptian hieroglyphics. It was very helpful in translating and understanding hieroglyphics; It was the first piece of information that we were able to get to understand hieroglyphs.
Hieroglyphs: The ancient writing of Egypt.
Imhotep: The first architect of the Egyptian pyramid. He was also the second in command after the pharaoh and was supposedly later made into a god of medicine and healing for his great deeds; Was one of the only people given a divine status after death.
Giza: A place where many pyramids, including the Great Pyramid, were built.
Eye of Horus: A good luck sign of the Sun that the Egyptians believed protected people from evil; The eye Horus was given by Khonsu, the moon god, to replace his ruined eye.
Dynasty: An era of rule where the only pharaohs came from a son or daughter from a previous pharaoh.
