Vastus intermedius: This muscle is located along the upper portion of the femur, which is also known as the thighbone.
Adductor Group: Draws the leg inward and laterally rotates the thigh.
Gracilis: Adducts the thigh.
Sartorius: Originates on the Ilium and inserts on the tibia.
Gluteus Maximus: Forms the buttocks.
Gluteus Medius: Covered by the Gluteus Maximus.
Hamstrings: Extends the thigh and flexes the knee.
Biceps Femoris: This muscle is a double-headed muscle located on the back of thigh.
Semitendinosus: Remarkable for the great length of its tendon of insertion, is situated at the posterior and medial aspect of the thigh.
Semimembranosus: This muscle is one of the three muscles that make up the hamstring.
Gastrocnemius: Forms the calf.
Soleus: Plantar flexes the foot.
Tibialis Anterior: Covers the anterior crest.
Peroneus Muscles: Muscle group of the lateral leg.
Extensor Digitorm Longus: It dorsiflexions the foot and extends the toes.
