Extended self : external objects that we consider a part of us, it can be individual, family, community and groups
Personality : a personas unique psychological makeup an how it consistently influences the way a person responds to his/her environment
Self concept : the beliefs a person holds about their own attributes and how he/she evaluates these qualitites
Trait theory : identifiable characteristics that define a person
Psychographics : use of psychological, sociological and anthropological factors to determine market segents, reasons for choosing a product, fine tuning offerings
Motivation : the process that leads people to behave as they do - Motive + specific situation
Intrinsic : self generated, existential motivation
Extrinsic : cultural, social motivation
Motivational strength : the degree of willingness to expend energy and to reach a goal
Drive theory : biological needs that produce unpleasant states of arousal
Expectancy theory : behavior is pulled by expectations of achieving desirable outcomes
Needs : biogenic, psychogenic, utilitarian, hedonic
Involvement :perceived relevance of an object based on ones needs values and interests
