Integrated circuit : They are the heart and brains of most circuits.
Central processing unit : Is the electronic circuitry within a computer that carries out the instructions of a computer program by performing the basic arithmetic, logical, control and input/output (I/O) operations specified by the instructions.
Arithmetic and logic unit : Digital circuit used to perform arithmetic and logic operations.
Control unit : Tells the unit, input and output how to respond to the instructions.
Clock speed : The operating speed of a computer or its microprocessor, defined as the rate at which it performs internal operations and expressed in cycles per second
Hertz : The standard unit of frequency in the International System of Units(SI), equal to one cycle per second.
MHz : One million hertz.
GHz : One billion cycles per seconds.
Cache memory : A collection of items of the same type stored in a hidden or inaccessible place.
RAM : memory a type of computer memory that can be accessed randomly; that is, any byte of memory can be accessed without touching the preceding bytes.
ROM : memory retains its contents even when the computer is turned off.
CMOS : A small, battery-backed memory bank in a computer that holds configuration settings.
Analog Signal : Any continuous signal for which the time varying feature of the signal is a representation of some other time varying quantity.
Digital Signal : Signal that represents a sequence of discrete values.
Binary system : A system in which information can be expressed by combinations of the digits 0 and 1.
