creative writing : Any writing that goes outside the bounds of normal forms of literature, typically identified by an emphasis on narrative craft, character development, and the use of figurative language or with various styles of poetry and poetics
authors voice : The individual writing style of an author that is conveyed through a combination of his common usage of wording, punctuation, character development, dialogue, etc., within a given body of texts
Tone : A writer's attitude toward a certain subject, audience or himself
Fiction : written stories about people and events that are not real: literature that tells stories which are imagined by the writer
Poetry : writing that formulates a concentrated imaginative awareness of experience in language chosen and arranged to create a specific emotional response through meaning, sound, and rhythm
Nonfiction : writing that is about facts or real events, all writing that is not fiction
