Sine: opposite over hypotenuse
Corresponding Angle Postulate: if the parallel lines are cut by a transverse then corresponding angles are congruent
SSS: side side side
Right Triangle : triangle that contians one right angle
Vertical Angle: non-adjacent angles formed by two intersecting lines
Midpoint: point that divides a segment into two congruent segments
Angle of Elevation: angle formed by a line parallel to the ground and the line of sight is looking up.
Postulate: an idea that we accept to be true
Cosine: adjacent over hypotenuse
Congruent: two geometric figures that have the same size and shape
Complementary: two angles whose measurements add up to equal 90 degrees
Pythagorean Theorem: the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides
Triangle Sum Theorem: the sum of the angles of a triangle is 180 degrees
Parallel Lines: two lines on the same plane, that never intersects
Segment Bisector: line that intersects the segment at its midpoint
Congruent Segments: segments whose lengths are the same
Angle of Depression: angle formed by the line parallel to the ground and the line of sight is looking down
Congruent Angles: angles whose measurements are equal
Tangent: opposite over adjacent
Theorem: an idea that we can prove to be true
Angle Bisector: ray that divides an angle into two congruent angles
Linear Pair: two adjacent angles whose non-common sides are opposite ray
