Assessment : Collecting information through observation, testing, and task analysis to determine strengths and weaknesses for the purpose of making decisions.
Adaptive behavior : Degree and efficiency with which the individual meets the standards of personal independence and social responsibility expected of his age and cultural group.
Deviation IQ : In contrast to ratio IQ, assumes IQ is normally distributed with 100 as average and a standard deviation that is the same for every age level.
Wechsler scales : The Wechsler Intelligence Scales used for identification and classification of countless preschool children, school-age children, adolescents, and adults for nearly half a century.
